About Mpox Society

Conncecting Mpox Research Worldwide

Mpox Society is an international platform that brings mpox research initiatives together in one central place. By mapping ongoing projects and making them visible, the platform supports collaboration and knowledge exchange across the global mpox research community.

Mpox Society functions as a neutral and accessible hub where researchers, institutions, policymakers, and other stakeholders can easily discover ongoing work and connect with relevant initiatives.

A Neutral Platform

Mpox Society is developed and coordinated by the Global Health Institute (GHI) at the University of Antwerp.

GHI manages the platform, maintains the website, and ensures the quality and consistency of the information presented. In this role, the institute acts as a facilitator, providing a neutral space where mpox research initiatives can present their work and connect with others.

While coordinated by the University of Antwerp, Mpox Society is designed as a collaborative international initiative, open to all mpox research projects worldwide.

Join the Mpox Society Network

All research initiatives working on mpox are welcome to become part of the platform and increase the visibility of their work.

Participating projects can submit basic project information through a short and straightforward form. Based on this input, a dedicated project page is created and published on the website, linking directly to the project’s own outputs and activities.
